During Commencement ceremonies on May 22, 2017, Lehigh University conferred 1,071 Bachelor's degrees, 360 Master's degrees and 49 Doctoral degrees. Of the nearly 1,500 graduates, degree recipients came from 41 states and 38 countries, majoring in 94 different disciplines. Congratulations, graduates!

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 1,200 students during the winter and spring semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish their requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honor distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. The following students have been awarded degrees since the summer 2016 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Wilkes University Senior Vice President and Provost Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the Spring 2017 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the spring 2017 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

More than 1,660 students have been named to the Spring 2017 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2016-17 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Lebanon Valley College wishes to congratulte nearly 700 students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

Elizabethtown College students earned Honors in the Discipline at Commencement, Saturday, May 20, 2017. Outstanding students must fulfill specific requirements outlined by each department to earn these honors.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, graduates in the Class of 2017 took center stage for Elizabethtown College's 114th Commencement. Lynn Pasquerella, president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, spoke.

Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 148th Commencement on Saturday, May 13 with nearly 500 students receiving their degrees in Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 385 graduating seniors were joined by 38 doctor of physical therapy candidates, and 57 master's degree candidates.

The Center for Global Education and Diversity at Wilkes University recently presented students with its 2017 multicultural awards. The awards included Global Scholar and Citizen Award, Diversity and Inclusion Student Award and the D.I.V.E Certificate. They are given to students who have played an integral part in helping create diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion on the Wilkes campus and in the community.

Coastal Carolina University's held commencement ceremonies for an estimated 1,145 candidates for graduation May 5 and 6, 2017, at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center on campus. In her remarks to Coastal Carolina University's Class of 2017, commencement speaker Amber J. Campbell encouraged graduates to be true to themselves and their own course in life instead of relying too much on conventional wisdom. "Don't listen to 'they,' because 'they' will tell you all kinds of things," said Campbell, an Olympic athlete and 2004 CCU graduate. " 'They' don't always have your best interests at heart. 'They' will try to talk you out of your dream. 'They' will tell you that what you're pursuing doesn't make sense or that the career you chose is too obscure. Meanwhile, you might end up a three-time Olympian and travel the world!"

Kutztown University has inducted 37 students into Tau Sigma National Transfer Honor Society. This is the first class for the society at KU. Tau Sigma was incorporated in 1999 at Auburn University. Today there are more than 175 chapters across the country.

Students in Wilkes University's Nesbitt School of Pharmacy attended Pennsylvania Pharmacy Day at the capitol in Harrisburg on April 19.

Nearly 150 Lebanon Valley College students representing academic departments across campus displayed their academic and creative work to an audience of faculty, peers, trustees, administrators, industry representatives, and friends of the College during the annual Inquiry Symposium held on April 27 in Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 162 students into its chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi honor society as part of Inquiry 2017.

Over 150 Ithaca College students were named to the Empire 8 President's List. In order to be considered for the President's List, a student-athlete must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport.

104 Ithaca College students have been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is the only national honor society which recognizes and encourages superior scholarship in all disciplines of higher education.

A group of Wilkes University students participated in an alternative spring break trip to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Alternative spring break offers students an opportunity to perform community service while experiencing a different culture and developing their leadership, teamwork and critical thinking skills.
